For teens ages 10+.
Love comics?  Can't get enough?  Free Comic Book Day is a national event, and it's coming to HIghland Library! Stop in for free comic books (while supplies last).  We'll also have our Wii and PS3 set up for some gaming.  Thanks to Comic City for funding this event!
  
Thursdays at 10:30am: May 9, 16, 23
Children learn to feel comfortable in a group setting and build vocabulary through interactive storytelling, songs, movement and rhyme.  This class is appropriate for babies 3 - 18 months of age. Siblings are welcome.
  
The Library will be closed:
Saturday, May 25 - Monday, May 27 for the Memorial Day Holiday.

Book Discussion Group
Wed, May 8
6:30pm - 8:00pm
Join our monthly book discussion group! This month's title is What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty.  Pick up your copy of the book at the Adult Desk.  Newcomers are always welcome.
  
Tues, May 14, 6:00pm
Decorate a pot for spring planting!  All supplies will be provided.  This program has limited space, register now!

Summer Reading Club

Register for Summer Reading Club starting June 1. We're joining forces with the Teen Department for fun and prizes!  Join a team, log your books with us, and be eligible for weekly prize drawings.

Play, paint, build. We focus on Warhammer 40K, but feel free to bring your Warhammer Fantasy or LOTR army. We have tables and terrain aplenty. Newcomers are always welcome. Open to teens and adults.

For kids 3-12 years.
Make a gift to give to your special someone on Mother's Day. Please wear clothes you can paint in.

Use our Lego to build whatever you like! Your creations will be on display in the Youth Department.

Summer
Reading
starts June 1
Join us this summer as we Dig Into Reading with Summer Reading Clubs for all ages!
  
Adults and Teens will once again join forces this summer for great weekly prize drawings and programs. Sign up at the Adult Desk starting June 1.  Join us for the final party in August featuring entertainment by ZEEMO.
  
Kids Summer Reading is packed with great programs and weekly prize drawings.  Pick up your information packet starting June 1.  Join us for our big kickoff celebration with a Animal Nature Bus on Saturday, June 8 at 2pm.
