Thank you for subscribing to Highland Library's e-newsletter! Here's what's happening:

Michigan Reads: Woolbur
Michigan Reads! is a statewide program from the Library of Michigan highlighting the importance of early childhood and family literacy by focusing on a picture book by a Michigan author.
The 2013 Michigan Reads! book is Woolbur by Leslie Helakoski and illustrated by Lee Harper, and features a lamb named Woolbur who finds creative ways to go about his day.  When Woolbur is asked to do something, he finds original ways to accomplish everyday tasks and shares his ideas with others.
The story, the language, they joyfulness of Woolbur's actions, and the wonderful illustrations all come together to make Woolbur a go-to book for both children and older readers.
Join us Saturday, September 7 at 2:00pm for a fun program celebrating this book. For ages 3 to 8.  Or stop by the library and share a reading of the book with your favorite reading buddy!

The Highland Library will be closed Saturday, August 31 through Monday, September 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
