March is Women's History Month!  Learn the status and roles of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian women in this interesting and informative talk from our favorite OCC Professor Emeritus, Dennis Fiems.

We're glad to have Dennis Fiems, our favorite OCC Professor Emeritus, join us for a talk on women's roles in the ancient civilizations of Greece, Rome, and Egypt.

Book Discussion Group
Wed, Mar 12, 6:30pm
Join us for lively discussion in a friendly environment. Pick up a copy of the book at the Adult Reference Desk about a month before the meeting date. 
This month's book is The City of Women by DAvid Gillham.
 
Wed, Apr 2, 6:30pm
Come join us for an entertaining trip through the back roads of Michigan. Ron Rademacher will give a presentation that features stops at historic sites, natural wonders, and unusual festivals.
Teen Programs
Monday, Mar 3, 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Go was invented 4,000 years ago.
Magic: The Gathering was introduced in the early 1990s. Can players of these two games share the same space on the same night? We think they can! Gamers unite! Drop in to play, no registration required. Newcomers always welcome!

Tue, Mar 4, 5:30pm
Come dance (Just Dance 2014 and/or old school DDR), eat, and create a beady Mardi Gras mosaic craft! Let's shake off this long winter in style!

Mon, Mar 17, 5:30pm
Movie, pizza and a pop!  We'll be watching Disney's Frozen. Please register.

Monday, Mar 24,
5:00pm - 8:00pm
Dust off those Pokemon cards in the back of your closet!  At these gatherings, you can battle, trade, or whatever.  Thanks to Travis Trimper, our League Leader.

Tuesday, Mar 25
Noon - 8:00pm
Play, build, paint. We focus on WH40K, but feel free to bring your WH Fantasy or LOTR army. Or any other tabletop army! Newcomers are always welcome.  Open to teens and adults.

 



Thur, Mar 6, 6:30pm
Ages 3 to 5 years.
Too busy to attend storytime during the day?  Bring your favorite 3-5 year old to this evening storytime. Wear your PJs and bring your favorite, well behaved, stuffed friend.
 
Fri, Mar 7, 10:30am
Ages 3 - 18 months.
In this program, babies will learn to feel comfortable in a group setting and build vocabulary through interactive storytelling, songs, rhyme and play.
 
Sat, Mar 8, 3:00pm
For kids 9-12 years.
Grab the book now!
Read, then meet on this day for a book discussion and a hands-on SWORDPLAY program led by Dennis Murphy from the Liberty Lakes Fencing Club.

For ages 9-12 years.
Pick up the book now at the Youth Desk! Read, then we'll meet on Monday, March 10 at 6pm for our first discussion. 
Bring your dinner and join other moms and daughters for a good time.  We'll play a game and discuss a different book each month.

Ages 5 and under, with caregivers.
A playgroup for care-givers and preschool-age children.  
New to the area? This is a great way to meet people. No registration required.

Saturday, March 15,
2:30pm - 3:00pm
Ages 8 years and up.
Play chess with older students who can teach you the game. If you already know how to play, drop in and practice your skills with other students in the class. 

Sat, Mar 22, 2:00pm
Ages 7-12 years.
Act out a scene or two in this theater program for students. We provide costumes, scripts and acting coach, you come ready to break a leg!

Located in the Front Lobby, the Book Cart lets you purchase a gently used book anytime the library is open. Check back whenever you're in the library - the cart is replenished often!


Book Donations are taken any time the library is open at the front desk. If donations are not added to our circulating collection, books will go to the Friends for the book sales.
