Book Discussion GroupLively discussions in a friendly environment are held the second Weds of each month at 6:30pm. Copies of the books will be available for loan at the reference desk. Join us for one or all of the discussions. The Book Ends will take a summer break in August and will meet up again on September 10. Monday, August 4, 5:30pm - 7:30pm Go was invented 4,000 years ago. Magic: The Gathering was introduced in the early 1990s. Can players of these two games share the same space on the same night? Just register ahead of time to make sure you get some noms. This month we'll be watching Divergent. Monday, August 18, 5:30pm The Longway Planetarium Science Museum of Flint, in conjunction with the UofM-Flint Chemistry Department has devised hands-on science activities just for you! Session 3: Colorful Chemistry. Explore acids and bases while using a variety of pH indicators. Make and use your own smelly indicator for testing pH. Enjoy several color-changing demonstrations and activities.
Monday, August 25, 5:00pm - 8:00pm Dust off those Pokemon cards in the back of your closet! At these gatherings, you can battle, trade, or whatever. Thanks to Travis Trimper, our League Leader.

Summer Reading Final Party: Saturday, August 16 2:00pm - 3:30pm Join Alex Thomas & Friends for an interactive puppet show that will entertain adults and children of all ages. After the show, we will celebrate your reading accomplishments with an ice cream treat!

Book Donations are taken any time the library is open at the Front Desk. If donations are not added to our circulating collection, books will go to the Friends for their book sales.
