Highland Library October 2015

Dear Elizabeth,

Thank you for subscribing to Highland Library's e-newsletter! Here's what's happening:

Star Wars Reads Day
Saturday, October 10, 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Join us for a celebration of a galaxy far, far away and the joy of reading!
Star Wars Reads day is a national event celebrated by libraries, bookstores, and anyone who enjoys reading. Come to the library on this day to find a ton of great Star Wars books to read for all ages, like:
Scoundrels (a fun Han/Chewie/Lando heist; Ocean's Eleven with a good blaster at your side)
Darth Vader & Son and Vader's Little Princess (the Dark Lord of the Sith as a Doting Father)
and many many more!
12:30pm to 1:30pm: build your own lightsaber; play Star Wars pinball; raffles & prizes
1:30pm - 3:30pm: The Ring of Steel will do a Jedi Lightsaber Fighting Demo, and then train groups in the art of lightsaber swordplay. You'll also be able to check out Ring of Steel's period weaponry and have some photo ops.
This is an all-ages event.   DROP IN - no registration needed.
We encourage you to come in costume!
Big thanks to Home Depot and Meijer of White Lake for helping sponsor our fun!
